Тема. Primary and Secondary Education in Ukraine. Grammar Revision
Цель: совершенствовать навыки письменной и устной речи с употреблением лексико-грамматических структур Present и Past Simple Active; формировать навыки употребления грамматических структур; воспитывать внимание, умение четко выполнять инструкции учителя; развивать наблюдательность, языковую догадку, элементы анализа и самоанализа.
ХОД УРОКА

II. Подготовка к иностранного вещания
Фонетическая и речевая зарядка.
III. Основная часть урока
a) Эх. 8, г. 41 - Put the verbs in brackets into the correct tense form:
· am checking
· works
· has checked
· was checking / came
· talk
· runs
b) Ex. 1, p. 41 - Look at the photos of the classrooms in primary and secondary school in Ukraine. How are they different? Do they remind you of the classrooms in your school?
c) Work in pairs. Write a list of questions about the system of education in Ukraine.
d) Read the article from a magazine and try to find the answers to your questions. Say what the main stages of secondary education in Ukraine are:
Stage 1 - the primary school
Stage 2 - the basic secondary school
Stage 3 - the upper secondary school
e) Ex. 3, p. 42 - Look through the text and complete the table.

f) Ex. 4, p. 42 - Read and choose the correct item to complete the sentences.

A. I think that a good education depends on a number of things: the school you go to, the teacher in your school, or the textbooks you work with. Nowadays we can choose the school for ourselves. There are secondary schools where pupils study usual school subjects like Maths or Russian Language. There are also lyceums gymnasiums and where you study other academic subjects such as Information Technology, Economics and Law.
B. To my mind, it doesn't matter what type of school you get...
