Тема. Life in Britain. Changes in the Reported Speech

Цель: совершенствовать навыки чтения и устной речи; практиковать учащихся в ММ и ДМ проблемными ситуациями, развивать логическое и аналитическое мышление; формировать навыки неподготовленного устной речи; развивать познавательный интерес, аудитивну память и внимание.

II. Подготовка к иностранного вещания

Фонетическая и речевая зарядка.

III. Основная часть урока

a) Эх. 6, г. 133 - Put the verbs in brackets into correct tense form and voice.

b) Ex. 1, p. 134 - Look at the pictures. Listen and report the words:

· a rose - a shamrock - a thistle

· a leek - a red dragon - a daffodil

c) Ex. 2, p. 134 - You are going to read a magazine article about people in Britain. Six sentences have been removed. Choose which sentences (A-G) fit into gaps (1-6). There is one extra sentence you do not need to use.

d) Ex. 4, p. 136 - Speak in class. Act out the situation.

Your friend has just returned from Great Britain. Ask him / her questions about people living here.

e) Ex. 2, p. 137 - Listen and read the dialogue. Say what Olia tells about Ann the Scottish traditions.

Changes in the Reported Speech:

· “I want to visit my Granny on Sunday”, Jane says.

· Jane says thet she wants to visit her Sex on Sunday.

· “I want to visit my Granny on Sunday”, Jane said.

· Jane said that she wanted to visit her Sex on Sunday.

Direct Speech Reported Speech:

· Today that day

Personal pronouns and possessive adjectives change according to the context.

f) Ex. 5, p. 139 - Report the following statements.

· Elena said that she wanted to visit her pen - friend who lived in Great Britain.

· Taras said that he had never been to Northern Ireland.

· Inna said that she was reading an interesting book about England then.

· Petro said that he had visited Wales the previous year.

· Ivas said that he had worn a kilt in Scotland.

· Brian said that he would watch a rugby match the following Saturday.
